WHO IS ROB ?
I have always been passionate about telling stories. And I love working with people. Today I find myself drawn to capturing real stories for real people.
I have spent many years of my life finely crafting images. I learnt the technical aspects of image creation to develop a language of visual storytelling. Photographing a wedding day is not unlike making a film, and you, the couple, are the lead cast.
On a wedding day, everything is important. The people, the place and the fleeting little moments are all puzzle pieces that build the big picture. Your story.
In my mind, the most important thing for me to photograph with my camera are the moments. Authentic moments of human connection. Laughs, tears, joy and romance. These things are the fabric of every story. These things are the fabric of life.
Life is about relationships. Human connection is everything.
Every couple is different, every wedding is different, and I will reflect that in my pictures. Every time I take a picture I want it to feel like I am creating something new and exciting. It’s an adventure.
I pride myself on continually trying new ideas and experimenting with new ways to craft images and tell stories with my pictures. The couples that I work with are excited about this and give me the trust necessary to allow me to do this. The end result is that your pictures will be something different, new and exciting. Your story will represent you.
When we eventually leave this world and venture into the unknown, I believe that the only mark we truly leave behind lies in our relationships; our friends, our family and our partners. I think that is essentially what I am drawn to do when I pick up the camera your friends, your family, your love captured in photographs. Treasured by you forever.
